First Update 9.05.08

A week and a day has gone by since Christian was brought to Standford PICU. Everyday shows a little (sometimes so small it's just a flick of his finger) bit of improvement. It's going to be a long road, but what we know is this: We have our Christian back and for this we are Truly Grateful!

Christian,

I wish I could still be up there with you right now but know you are being strong and making progress every second of the day. You are in my thoughts literally all day long and I pray unconditionally for your recovery. Can't wait to plan a fun surf trip with you once you are feeling better. You mean so much to me and I love you dearly.

We miss you at Aptos Martial Arts and everyone is sending you their best wishes.
We know you can kick this just like those five boards on your blackbelt test!!

Christian,

We pray for you everyday. The kids at Good Shepherd are praying for you. Many of your old Good Shepherd buddies and families prayed for you last week at the healing mass. We know you are so strong and that you will continue to be a fighter.

We'll keep praying!!!!!!!!

Christian,

Thinking about you everyday dude. You are making me and a lot of people proud with your strength and courage. Your whole life you have taken some big falls but you always get right back up. That is why I call you the machine. Plus you are freakishly strong and hit a baseball harder then anybody. Just remember I helped you get that swing. I will never forget when you did that face plant of my quarter pipe on your little bike. You where back on the ramp the next day. I have gotten real attached to mav. When you come home you might have to let me walk with you guy’s. You have done a great job with him. I have been taking him for walks everyday. I’m thinking about you and your family every day. You have become an inspiration for a lot of people. I will talk to you soon. Mav say’s hi..

Christian,
We are hoping and praying every day that you continue to progress in your recovery. For those of us who don't know your family, this blog is our only means of hearing how you're doing. It's been 10 days since the last update, and we're concerned. However, we continue to think positively.
Thinking of you...
